Om Parvat is located in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand and shares an eastern border with Nepal as well as the northern side of Tibet. Hindus revere Om Parvat and Adi Kailash as sacred sites.This location is regarded as one of Lord Shiva’s earliest abodes.Related to the legend of Ravana, the peak is considered sacred by many, and the Om Parvat trek leads to an astounding view of the giant and the miraculous impression of “OM” naturally formed with the deposition of snow against the black background of the mountain. The Adi Kailash Om Parvat walk from Kathgodam travels through numerous small towns and villages before arriving at the breathtaking vista of the Om Parvat, which is situated in the high Mountains of the Kumaon area of Uttarakhand.Rising to an altitude of 14816 ft, this peak is also referred to by several other names such as Adi Kailash, Chota Kailash, Baba Kailash, and Jonglingkong.

Itineary

Day 1 : Kathgodam to Dharchula

  • 325Kms 8 hrs.
  • When you arrive in Kathgodam, you will be welcomed and taken by Taxi to Darchula.
  • You will stop midway for lunch.
  • Beautiful place Darchula, a tiny village on the right bank of the Kali River, is where you will be arriving in the evening.
  • After reaching here, check into the Guest House/Hotel. Have some rest.

Day 2 Drive to Mangati then trek to Gala

  • 40 km by road and 8 km by trek (2440mt)
  • You will begin your 35-kilometer drive to Mangati this morning after breakfast.
  • You will start your journey to Malpa from here. You get at the Gala after a 6-kilometer hike.
  • You will check into your tents here.
  • Dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 3 : Trek to Budhi 18 kms trek

  • 18 kms trek (2680mts)
  • After breakfast this morning, you will set out on a trek to Budhi.
  • You will arrive at Budhi Village after several hours of rigorous climbing, numerous lush valleys, and gushing waterfalls.
  • After a delicious dinner, set up your tents here and have a fantastic overnight stay.

Day 4 : Trek to Gunji 19 kms trek

  • 19 kms trek/5-6 hrs (3220mts.)
  • After breakfast, the climb will continue this morning to reach Chhiyalekh.
  • You will reach Gunji by dusk after hiking through numerous lush valleys bursting with vibrant wildflowers and catching a sight of the magnificent Mt. Annapurna.
  • Dinner and overnight in camps at Gunji.

Day 5 : Trek from Gunji to Kutti

  • 20 Kms by trek (3600mts)
  • After breakfast today, you will be beginning on a day of a long trek to reach the place called Kutti.
  • Overnight at camps in Kutti.

Day 6 : Kutti to Jolingkong

  • 14 km by trek (4572mts)
  • From Kutti, you will be taking an uphill trek from here to reach the high point of this trek at Jolingkong. .
  • Overnight at Jolingkong in tents.

Day 7 : Jolingkong to Adi Kailash/Parvati Sarovar and back to Jolingkong and Kutti

  • 21 km by trek (3600 mts)
  • The longest and arguably toughest portion of the trek will take place on this day.
  • At Jolingkong, you will begin your ascent to Mount Adi Kailash and the Parvati Sarovar.
  • From here, you will be trekking back to Jolingkong and then on to Kutti.
  • The whole trek is about 21 km in length and is going to be quite a challenge for you.
  • Overnight Stay Kutti.

Day 8 :Trek from Kutti to Gunji

  • 20 km by trek (3220 mts)
  • You will begin your second day of strenuous hiking from Kutti and trek downwards to the village of Gunji.
  • Tent camping is done in Gunji.

Day 9 : Trekking from Gunji to Nabhidang via Kalapani

  • 18 km by trek (4246mts)
  • You will begin your climb to Nabhidang after breakfast today, gaining more than 1000m in elevation in a single day.
  • This is where you will get the first 'Darshan' or view of the mighty Om Parvat.
  • The rock on the mountain's face is shaped in such a way that the snow falling on it takes the form of the religious 'OM'.
  • Overnight at Nabhidhang in tents.

Day 10 : Trekking from Nabhidang to Gunji via Kalapani

  • 18 km by trek (3220 mts)
  • You'll begin your trek back to Gunji through Kalapani after rising to a magnificent view.
  • It will mostly be a downhill trek so it will be easy to complete on this day.
  • Overnight at Gunji in tents.

Day 11 : Trekking from Gunji to Budhi

  • 19 km by trek (2680 mts)
  • You'll begin the final part of this walk today from Gunji and travel in a downhill direction towards Budhi.
  • Overnight at Budhi.

Day 12 : Trek from Budhi to Mangati and bus to Dharchula

  • 20 km by trek and 40 km by bus (1910 mts)
  • The 12th day of trekking begins as you start the long trek from Budhi to reach the town of Mangati.
  • You will take a bus from this location to your hotel in Dharchula.
  • Overnight at Darchula.

Day 13 : Dharchula to Kathgodam

  • 185 km by bus (1870 mts)
  • On the last day of the Adi Kailash Om Parvat trek, you will take a bus transfer that will take you to Kathgodam, where the trip will conclude.

Transport to and from the base camp
The above trek cost includes transport to and from base camp.
Safety equipment
First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders, stretchers, Walkie-Talkie etc. will be available at campsite.
Accommodation
Stay is included from Day 1 to Last Day. Tents/Homestays/lodges will be provided. Tripple sharing Accommodation and separate accommodation for girls/ladies will be provided
Meals
All meals from dinner on Day 1 to breakfast at Last day are included. Veg food will be provided during the trek.
Permits/ Forest fees
UTT will arrange trekking permits and forest passes.
Experienced Trek Leader & Team
Qualified trek leaders haing in basic / advanced mountaineering courses certificates/ degrees will assist trek.
Other staff member includes qualified cooks, helpers and porters.

Exclusions


Food during transit to and from the base camp
Food would not be provided during transit and trekkers have to bear the cost at their own.
Mule and Porter charges
Generally we expect trekkers to carry their bag-pack and luggage themselves. For those who wish to use Mule/Porter need to pay Rs 350 per day for same.

Personal Expense of any kind. The trek cost does not include stay at any location on last day
