Charan Paduka Badrinath
The Charan Paduka in Badrinath holds significant importance, as narrated in the Bhagwat Purana. According to a tale from this scripture, Lord Krishna dispatched his minister Uddav to Badrinath to seek redemption for his misdeeds. Uddhav, wearing the Lord’s slippers, left distinct footprints on a boulder during his visit, marking the stone with a sacred imprint. The narrative continues with Lord Vishnu stepping on this very boulder upon his descent from Vaikunta, his celestial abode. The divine imprints of his feet on the rock bestowed sanctity upon the location, earning it the revered name of CharaPaduka
