By Road

From Dehradun: You can hire a taxi or take a bus from Dehradun to Sankri, which serves as the base camp for treks to Har Ki Dun valley. The road journey from Dehradun to Sankri takes about 8-10 hours depending on the mode of transport and road conditions.
From Sankri: Once you reach Sankri, you’ll need to start the trek towards Har Ki Dun valley. The trek is around 10-12 kilometers long and takes approximately 6-8 hours depending on your pace and fitness level.
From Har Ki Dun valley: Marinda Tal is further located within Har Ki Dun valley. It’s a trek of about 3-4 kilometers from Har Ki Dun valley to Marinda Tal, and it takes around 1-2 hours to reach the lake
