Hardeol is a mountain peak located in the Kumaon Himalayas of the Uttarakhand state in India. It is part of the Milam Glacier and lies in the easternmost part of the Nanda Devi Sanctuary. Hardeol stands at an elevation of 7,151 meters (23,461 feet) above sea level, making it one of the prominent peaks in the region. The name “Hardeol” is derived from Hindi, with “Har” meaning Shiva and “Deol” meaning abode. Thus, Hardeol is often referred to as the “Abode of Shiva.”
