Yatra Overview

Teen Dham Yatra refers to a pilgrimage in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, where pilgrims visit three significant Hindu temples: Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. These temples are dedicated to different deities and are considered highly sacred by Hindus. The yatra (pilgrimage) is a spiritually significant journey for devotees seeking blessings and spiritual experiences.

Gangotri:
Gangotri is the source of the holy River Ganges (Ganga), which is considered one of the most sacred rivers in Hinduism. The temple at Gangotri is dedicated to Goddess Ganga. It is located at an altitude of around 3,100 meters (10,200 feet) in the Garhwal Himalayas. The Gangotri Temple is a popular destination for devotees who come to witness the origin of the Ganges and seek blessings from the goddess.

Kedarnath:
Kedarnath is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas (sacred shrines of Lord Shiva) and holds immense significance in Hindu mythology. The Kedarnath Temple is located at an elevation of about 3,583 meters (11,755 feet) near the head of the Mandakini River. The temple is known for its breathtaking natural surroundings and is accessible by a challenging trek, horse ride, or helicopter. The shrine opens its doors to devotees only during the summer months due to extreme weather conditions.

Badrinath:
Badrinath is another major pilgrimage site in Uttarakhand and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is one of the Char Dham Yatras (four sacred sites) in Hinduism. The Badrinath Temple is situated at an altitude of approximately 3,133 meters (10,279 feet) in the Chamoli district. The deity here is Lord Badri Narayan, a form of Lord Vishnu. The temple is open to visitors from late April to early November.

The Teen Dham Yatra typically involves visiting all three temples in a sequential manner. Pilgrims usually start with Gangotri, then proceed to Kedarnath, and finally conclude their journey at Badrinath.

It’s important to note that the accessibility of these temples can vary depending on weather conditions, especially in the higher altitudes. Before planning the Teen Dham Yatra, it’s recommended to check the current conditions, travel advisories, and necessary permits, and consider the best time to undertake the pilgrimage.

memorable chardham It was my dream to go Chardham with my wife. So before starting our salvation journey I want to know more about my chardham yatra. So I booked my trip from Uttarakhand Trip Trek. The executive of Uttarakhand Trip Trek told every aspect of chardham yatra and make it more easy to me. As im from west bangal so first day I visited the local sightseeing of delhi. Later after pooja for yatra we start our yatra. The guide was excellent and he took the initiation to introduce the fellow passengers to each other. This is the first time i found such a good tour guide. The whole trip was good with guide assisting us every moment. The accomodations were also good. And i must say the bus driver was really good the ride quality was excellent. Last I would like to give thanx to Uttarakhand trip trek to my dream make true and also made those moments memorable. with the blessing of lords if possible i would like to go again. Char-Dham yatra

★★★★★
Last year my family did this Chardham Yatra which was just amazing.. No words to say about the destinations in between whole Chardham journey.. Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri, Haridwar & Rishikesh was just fabulous.. we are a group of 9 members that was never seen the beauties before.. When we planned don't know the things about chardham yatra, then we contacted an chardham tour operator 'Uttarakhand Trip Trek' they help us alot to plan that trip, that's why we booked them and the whole journey was extremely fantastic... Food, sight-seeing and shopping: When you are on chardham yatra i recommend you to take most of the packed food from your home, if you can't afford then you can found some good restaurants (dhabha's) in between your journey. In your journey never forget to visit whole the pilgrimages, temples and shrines.... Activities & things to do: In rishikesh we enjoy the white water river rafting which was start from shivpuri to ramjhula (rishikesh) must say extremely adventurous... Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: In the end i must say if you want your journey blissful then choose best tour operators like we did to choose Uttarakhand Trip Trek. thanks Uttarakhand trip trek
