Itineary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathgodam

  • Arrive in Kathgodam, which is the nearest railway station to the starting point of the yatra.
  • Transfer to a hotel or guesthouse in Kathgodam for an overnight stay.
  • Meet your tour operator, receive a briefing about the yatra, and make necessary preparations.

Day 2 : Kathgodam to Dharchula

  • After breakfast, start the scenic drive from Kathgodam to Dharchula, a small town located on the Indo-Nepal border.
  • The drive takes approximately 8-9 hours, passing through beautiful valleys and rivers.
  • Arrive in Dharchula and check into a hotel or guesthouse for an overnight stay.
  • Spend the evening exploring the local market and preparing for the trek.

Day 3 : Dharchula to Gala

  • Begin the trek from Dharchula to Gala, which is the first base camp of the Adi Kailash yatra.
  • The trek is moderate and takes around 6-7 hours, covering a distance of approximately 14 kilometers.
  • Enjoy the mesmerizing views of the surrounding mountains, forests, and rivers along the way.
  • Reach Gala and Overnight stay in Gala.

Day 4: Trek from Gala to Budhi

  • The trek is challenging and covers a distance of about 18 kilometers, taking around 8-9 hours to complete.
  • Pass through dense forests and scenic landscapes, crossing rivers and streams.
  • Reach Budhi and set up camps for an overnight stay.

Day 5 : Trek From Budhi to Jyolingkong

  • Continue the trek from Budhi to Jyolingkong, which is the third base camp of the yatra.
  • The trek is strenuous and covers a distance of approximately 20 kilometers, taking around 9-10 hours to complete.
  • Ascend through rocky terrains, steep slopes, and glaciers.
  • Arrive at Jyolingkong and set up camps for an overnight stay.

Day 6 : Jyolingkong to Parvati Lake (Adi Kailash)

  • This is the most challenging part of the yatra.
  • Start early in the morning and trek from Jyolingkong to Parvati Lake (Adi Kailash).
  • The trek involves climbing over steep icy trails and glaciers.
  • Reach Parvati Lake, the sacred site of Adi Kailash, and witness the stunning beauty of the surrounding peaks.
  • Spend some time at the lake, and seeking blessings.
  • Return to Jyolingkong for an overnight stay.

Day 7 : Jyolingkong to Gala

  • Descend from Jyolingkong to Gala, retracing the same route.The trek takes around 8-9 hours to complete.
  • Overnight stay in camp.

Day 8 : Gala to Dharchula

  • Trek from Gala back to Dharchula.
  • Arrive in Dharchula and check into a hotel for an overnight stay.
  • Just relax and enjoy the scenery.

Day 9 : Dharchula To Kathgodam

  • Say Goodbye this beautiful trek, that you will always remember.
  • Drive from Dharchula To Kathgodam (280 km, 8-9 hours).

Transport to and from the base camp
The above trek cost includes transport to and from base camp.
Safety equipment
First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders, stretchers, Walkie-Talkie etc. will be available at campsite.
Accommodation
Stay is included from Day 1 to Last Day. Tents/Homestays/lodges will be provided. Tripple sharing Accommodation and separate accommodation for girls/ladies will be provided
Meals
All meals from dinner on Day 1 to breakfast at Last day are included. Veg food will be provided during the trek.
Permits/ Forest fees
UTT will arrange trekking permits and forest passes.
Experienced Trek Leader & Team
Qualified trek leaders haing in basic / advanced mountaineering courses certificates/ degrees will assist trek.
Other staff member includes qualified cooks, helpers and porters.

Exclusions


Food during transit to and from the base camp
Food would not be provided during transit and trekkers have to bear the cost at their own.
Mule and Porter charges
Generally we expect trekkers to carry their bag-pack and luggage themselves. For those who wish to use Mule/Porter need to pay Rs 350 per day for same.
Personal Expense
Personal Expense of any kind. The trek cost does not include stay at any location on last day
