Roopkund Trek
The most well-known trek in India is without a doubt the Roopkund Trek. In the Indian state of Uttarakhand, there is a high altitude glacial lake by the name of Roopkund, also referred to as Mystery Lake. The hundreds of human remains discovered along the lake’s edge have made Roopkund, which is located in the foothills of the Trishul range, renowned. The Roopkund (lake) is located at an altitude of about 15,700 feet. It is an excellent place to go trekking because it is surrounded by mountains covered in snow and glaciers that are littered with rocks. The route leading to Roopkund passes through the twin Bugyals of Ali & Bedni. You enjoy breathtaking vistas of peaks like Kedarnath, Chaukhamba, Neelkantha, Trishul, and Nanda Ghunti all the way along the Roopkund trek. The stunning campsites on the Roopkund Trek are breathtaking. Roopkund trek best time is May – June, and September – October.
