Yatra Overview

The Char Dham Yatra by helicopter is a convenient and efficient way to visit the four sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites in Uttarakhand, collectively known as the Char Dhams. These four holy sites are Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath, and they are revered by millions of devotees each year. Traditionally, the Char Dham Yatra involves a long and arduous journey by road, taking several days to complete. However, with the introduction of helicopter services, pilgrims now have the option to complete the yatra in a much shorter time frame, typically in 5 to 6 days. This makes it an attractive option for those with limited time or physical constraints.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival at Dehradun —

Arrive in Dehradun, which serves as the starting point of your Char Dham Yatra by helicopter.Check into your hotel and take some rest after your journey.If time permits, you can explore some local attractions in Dehradun.

Day 2 : Dehradun - Kharsali — Yamunotri

6:00 AM: Check out from hotel.
7:00 AM: Departure Sahastradhara Helipad, Dehradun (By Helicopter)
8:30 AM: Arrival Kharsali Helipad, Yamunotri

 

Early morning, proceed to the helipad in Dehradun.Board the helicopter and fly to Kharsali, the base for Yamunotri. Upon arrival, you will be taken to the Yamunotri temple, one of the Char Dhams, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. After darshan, return to Kharsali. Spend the night in Kharsali or nearby.

Day 3 : Kharsali - Harsil — Gangotri

6:30 AM: Check out from hotel.
7:30 AM: Departure Kharsali Helipad, Yamunotri (By Helicopter)
8:00 AM: Arrival Jhala Helipad, Gangotri

 

Board the helicopter and fly to Harsil, the base for Gangotri.Visit the Gangotri temple, dedicated to Goddess Ganga, and take part in the evening Ganga Aarti.After the visit, return to Harsil or nearby for an overnight stay.

Day 4 : Harsil — Guptkashi/Sersi - Kedarnath - Sersi/Guptkashi

7:00 AM: Departure Harsil/Jhalla Helipad, Gangotri (By Helicopter)
7:30 AM: Arrival Sersi / Guptkashi / phata Helipad (for Kedarnath Shuttle Service)

 

Depart from Harsil and fly to Guptkashi or Sersi, which are the base for Kedarnath.From Guptkashi or Sersi, you will be taken to the Kedarnath temple, one of the holiest shrines of Lord Shiva.After darshan, return to Guptkashi or Sersi for the night stay.

Day 5 : Guptkashi/Sersi — Badrinath

Board the helicopter and fly to Badrinath, the last of the Char Dhams.Visit the Badrinath temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and take part in the evening Aarti.Explore other attractions in Badrinath, such as Mana Village and the hot water springs at Tapt Kund.Overnight stay in Badrinath or nearby.

Day 6 : Badrinath — Dehradun

This is the last day of your Char Dham Yatra by helicopter.Board the helicopter and fly back to Dehradun, concluding the pilgrimage.Depending on your departure schedule, you may have some time to explore Dehradun before heading to the airport or your next destination.
