The Kuari Pass Trek is one of the most scenic Himalayan treks in Uttarakhand, also known as the “Curzon Trail”. Located in the Garhwal region, this trek is famous for its panoramic views of the Nanda Devi, Dronagiri, and Chaukhamba peaks.

Day 1

Rishikesh ➝ Joshimath

  • Day 2

    Joshimath ➝ Dhak ➝ Gulling

  • Trek begins with a gradual climb, passing through Tugasi village.
  • Walk along terraced fields and stone-paved village paths.

  • Enter dense oak and rhododendron forests, shaded and peaceful.
  • Arrive at Gulling campsite by afternoon.
  • Hot lunch, evening tea, soup, snacks, followed by dinner.

  • Day 3

    Gulling ➝ Khullara Camp

  • By afternoon, reach Khullara campsite – a wide meadow with spectacular views of Dronagiri and surrounding peaks.
  • Rest, explore the meadow, enjoy sunset photography.
  • Dinner and overnight stay in tents.
  • Day 4

    Khullara ➝ Kuari Pass ➝ Khullara

  • Early morning wake-up call, tea, and light breakfast.
  • Begin the summit climb to Kuari Pass. The trail gradually ascends through alpine meadows.
  • In winter, snow patches cover the trail, making it adventurous.
  • After 3–4 hrs of steady trekking, reach Kuari Pass (12,516 ft).
  • From the pass, enjoy panoramic 360° Himalayan views, including:
  • Nanda Devi (7,816 m)
  • Kamet (7,756 m)
  • Chaukhamba (7,138 m)
  • Trishul (7,120 m)
  • Hathi-Ghoda peaks and many more.
  • Packed lunch at the pass. Spend quality time for rest, photos, and soaking in the views.
  • Begin the descent back to Khullara campsite by late afternoon.
  • Evening tea, hot dinner, and overnight stay in tents.
  • Day 5

    Day 5: Khullara ➝ Dhak ➝ Joshimath (Trek + Drive)

  • Day 6

    Day 6: Joshimath ➝ Rishikesh (280 km | 9–10 hrs drive)
