Nag Tibba Trek
The Nag Tibba Trek, also known as the Serpent’s Peak, is one of the most popular weekend treks near Dehradun and Mussoorie, offering breathtaking views of the Bandarpunch, Swargarohini, and Kedarnath peaks. Standing tall at 9,915 ft, it is the highest peak in the Nag Tibba range of the Garhwal Himalayas. This trek is perfect for beginners and adventure lovers looking for a short yet thrilling Himalayan experience.
The trail passes through dense oak and rhododendron forests, charming villages, and open meadows. During winters, the entire landscape turns into a snow-covered paradise, making it one of the best snow treks near Delhi. The summit offers a 360° panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges that leave trekkers mesmerized.
Easily accessible from Dehradun, the 2-day Nag Tibba trek is ideal for weekend getaways and those looking to explore the beauty of Uttarakhand’s mountains without long travel or high altitude risks.

Best Time to Visit
Peak Season (Oct-Nov & Mar-May)
The best time to visit is during the spring (March-May) and autumn (October-November) seasons when the weather is pleasant with clear skies and moderate temperatures ranging from 15-25°C. These months offer the best visibility of mountain peaks and comfortable trekking conditions.
Monsoon Season (Jun-Sep)
Monsoon season brings heavy rainfall making trails slippery and mountain views obscured by clouds. However, the region comes alive with lush green vegetation and blooming flowers. Not recommended for high-altitude activities but good for lower valley exploration.
