How to Reach Sankri

There are various modes of transportation that are available to reach Dehradun
  • Direct Bus to Sankri: From Dehradun you can get direct buses to Sankri from Bus Station near Railway Station. The bus ply early morning from 7 am to 8 am and takes around 10 hours to reach Sankri.
    Note: In case you missed early morning buses, then you can take Hanol bus which goes via Mussoorie and get down at Mori. From Mori you can shared and private taxis/bolero to reach Sankri. You can also take buses to Purola as well and then take taxi from there.

  • By Road: Dehradun is well connected with major northern cities via motorable roads. There are various bus services available from Delhi to Dehradun. One can opt for semi-deluxe, deluxe and AC Volvo as per their needs. In addition to that, Dehradun is connected with Delhi by buses on a regular basis from Kashmere Gate ISBT. Roadways buses takes 10 hours to reach Sankri and most of the direct ply early in the morning from Dehradun.

  • By Rail: The Dehradun Railway Station is well-connected with various major Indian cities like Delhi, Lucknow and Kolkata etc. The frequency of trains to Dehradun is quite high as it is the gateway to the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand.

KedarKantha Trek

Located in the Garhwal Himalayas, Auli offers a perfect environment for skiing with it's clean, glittering slopes. At a height of about 2500-300 meters above sea level, one gets a panoramic view of several mountain peaks such as Mt. Nanda Devi, Ghori Parbat, etc.

Kuari pass Trek

The Kuari Pass trek is known as The Curzon Trail (named after the former British Viceroy Of India “Lord Curzon”). The Kuari pass trekking can be organised from three different starting points of Ghat, Joshimath and Tapovan. Kuari Pass is situated in Garhwal Himalayas.
