The Char Dham temples close for winter, but the divine puja never stops. When heavy snow shuts the high Himalayan shrines, the eternal spiritual energy transitions gracefully lower into the valleys. The deities of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath move to their sacred winter abodes at Kharsali, Mukhba, Ukhimath, and Joshimath.

This shifts the pilgrimage into a serene, meditative experience. You can take exclusive darshan at all four seats in winter, completely free from the intense summer rush. The air is crisp, the crowds are minimal, and a pristine blanket of white snow frames every temple.

Our curated 9-day Winter Char Dham Yatra starts and ends in Haridwar, guiding you safely through a spectacular winter wonderland. Beyond the four main winter seats, this journey immerses you in the alpine beauty of the Harsil valley, the majestic snow-capped meadows of Chopta, and the ancient Subordinate Badri temples around Joshimath. On the return journey, you will witness the confluence of the divine waters at the five holy Prayags, making this a complete and deeply fulfilling spiritual expedition.
