The Mukta Top Trek, a notable winter trek close to Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand, is a great path to enjoy a wonderful and exhilarating trekking experience amidst unspoiled environment.The trek lets you touch the maximum altitude of 11,800 ft. while walking through the long trails of lush forests, lovely meadows, and much more. It is appropriate for novice to experienced hikers and has a range of difficulties from simple to moderate.The best time to enjoy the best trekking experience on this trek is from January to June when the surroundings are stunning, and the ambience is trek friendly as well.This journey gives Trekking with delightful memories of varied fauna, rich landscapes, spectacular mountain views, and a magnificent summit surrounded by majestic Himalayan peaks including Bandarpoonch, Gangotri, Kalanag, Nag Tibba, and Jaonli.

Itineary

Day 1: Drive from Dehradun to Kuflon Base Camp

  • Altitude: 4,600 ft. Time Taken: 7 – 8 Hours
  • Our escorts pick up trekkers from Dehradun in a tempo traveller.
  • The Kuflon base camp, which is around 7 hours from Dehradun.
  • The trip includes peaceful forest sections, as well as passing by the Ganges River, the Bhagirathi River, and Uttarkashi town's banks.
  • The night at the campsite after arriving at the base camp close to the banks of the River Assi Ganga.

Day 2: Trek from Kuflon to Shiladhuni

  • Altitude 6,780 ft. Time Taken 4 hrs, 4 km
  • The Mukta Top trek begins from Kuflon with a gradual hike through the village.
  • After a short distance, the trail becomes steep for about 1.5 km and is lined with several tall Pine trees.
  • After that, the trek gets gradual and involves an ascent for another 2.1 km.
  • This trail passes through the forest full of rhododendrons, oaks, and maple trees. Beautiful birds abound in the area, and there are a few wild animals as well.
  • The Trek from there takes around 20 minutes before the wooded area ends and the campsite can be seen in this little clearing.
  • Spend the night in your tent.

Day 3: Shiladhuni to Chaithathar

  • Altitude: 9,600 ft. Time Taken: 5 – 6 hrs, 5 km
  • The Mukta Top Trek's third day involves a steep and moderately challenging path.
  • The trek passes from a forest patch full of Green Oaks and Maples, a small stream, to Kuari (7,781 ft.).
  • A difficult ascent through a rocky area leads from here to a Valley View Point.
  • Afterwards, the ascent becomes gradual and passes through oak and bamboo forests till the campsite at Chaithathar, which lies in the middle of the forest.
  • Spend the night in your tent.

Day 4 : Chaithathar to Mukta Tal

  • Altitude: 10,800 ft. Time Taken: 4 hrs, 4 km
  • Today's trekking involves a gradual ascending through a forest trail from Chaithathar to Mukta Tal.
  • The first breathtaking view of Mt. Bandarpoonch, Kalanag, and Nag Tibba is provided by this.
  • Following that, the Mukta Top Trek is an ascent through beautiful Mukta Tal and undulating meadows to the base of the summit.
  • By 8 o'clock, you'll have dinner and take in the campfire and relaxing music.

Day 5 : Mukta Tal to Mukta Top to Kuari

  • Altitude: ascend to 11,838 ft. and then descend to 7,781 ft.Time Taken: 6-7 hrs, 9 km
  • The Mukta Top Trek top is now within reach, and the trail today is a well-paved rise through the meadows.
  • The views of Mt. Bandarpoonch, DKD I/II, Gangotri III, Jaonli, Nag Tibba, and Kalanag ranges, as well as Siyari Tal, are breathtaking and enchanting once you reach the summit.
  • After that, the descent starts along the same path and leads to the Kuari campsite.
  • Overnight stay in Camp.

Day 6 : Kuari to Kuflon. Drive back to Dehradun

  • Altitude: 4,600 ft.,Time Taken: Trekking 4 hrs, 6 km, Driving: 7-8 hrs, 155 km
  • From Kuari campsite, Mukta Top Trek trip requires descending for about 4 hours to the Kuflon campsite on the similar well-defined trail through forests.
  • The trail offers breathtaking vistas of lush vegetation or landscapes covered in snow, as well as a wide variety of plants and fauna.
  • Here, Himalayan birds, Black Bear, Barking Deer, Swamp Deer, and Leopards, get spotted every now and then.
  • After arriving at the base camp in Kuflon, gather the last memorable moments and travel by road to Dehradun.

Inclusions

Transport to and from the base camp
The above trek cost includes transport to and from base camp.
Safety equipment
First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders, stretchers, Walkie-Talkie etc. will be available at campsite.
Accommodation
Stay is included from Day 1 to Last Day. Tents/Homestays/lodges will be provided. Tripple sharing Accommodation and separate accommodation for girls/ladies will be provided
Meals
All meals from dinner on Day 1 to breakfast at Last day are included. Veg food will be provided during the trek.
Permits/ Forest fees
UTT will arrange trekking permits and forest passes.
Experienced Trek Leader & Team
Qualified trek leaders haing in basic / advanced mountaineering courses certificates/ degrees will assist trek.
Other staff member includes qualified cooks, helpers and porters.

Exclusions

Food during transit to and from the base camp
Food would not be provided during transit and trekkers have to bear the cost at their own.
Mule and Porter charges
Generally we expect trekkers to carry their bag-pack and luggage themselves. For those who wish to use Mule/Porter need to pay Rs 350 per day for same.
Personal Expense
Personal Expense of any kind. The trek cost does not include stay at any location on last day
