How to Reach

The Valley of Flowers Trek is one of the most scenic and soul-refreshing treks in Uttarakhand, India. Nestled at the base of the Zanskar range in the Western Himalayas, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is world-famous for its vibrant alpine flowers, rare Himalayan species, and breathtaking landscapes. Every year from July to September, the valley transforms into a colorful paradise, with orchids, poppies, primulas, and over 500 species of wildflowers carpeting the meadows.

Situated at an altitude of 12,650 ft (3,858 m), this trek is perfect for beginners and nature lovers, offering moderate difficulty and incredible rewards. The trail winds through lush forests, gushing waterfalls, and wooden bridges, leading you to the mystical Valley of Flowers and the sacred Hemkund Sahib, one of the highest Gurudwaras in the world.

Itinerary

Drive from Rishikesh to Govindghat via Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, and Nandaprayag. Enjoy scenic views of river valleys and confluences along the journey. Arrival at Govindghat by evening, check into a guest house and rest for the trek ahead.

The above trek cost includes transport to and from base camp.

Safety equipment

First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders, stretchers, Walkie-Talkie etc. will be available at campsite.

Accommodation

Stay is included from Day 1 to Last Day. Tents/Homestays/lodges will be provided. Tripple sharing Accomodation and seprate accomodation for girls/ladies will be povided

Meals

All meals from dinner on Day 1 to breakfast at Last day are included. Veg food will be provided during the trek.

Permits/ Forest fees

UTT will arrange trekking permits and forest passes.

Additional Information

By Train Rishikesh is the nearest railway station. 273 km from Govind Ghat. You can avail a taxi or bus service to reach Govind Ghat.

By Air The nearest airport is Jolly Grant, located 292 km from Dehradun.

By Bus Govind Ghat is well connected by buses to Delhi and other major destinations of Uttarakhand like Rishikesh, Pauri, Chamoli, Ukhimath Srinagar, etc.Govind Ghat is situated on NH 58.
