    How to Reach Valley of Flowers Trek

    Reaching the Valley of Flowers Trek in Uttarakhand is easy with multiple travel options by air, rail, and road. The journey starts from Rishikesh / Haridwar and continues towards Govindghat, the base point of the trek.


    ✈️ By Air

    The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun, located about 290 km from Govindghat. From the airport, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Rishikesh, and then continue your journey towards Joshimath and Govindghat.


    🚆 By Train

    The nearest railway station is Haridwar Railway Station, well connected to major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. From Haridwar, you can travel by road to Rishikesh, Joshimath, and then Govindghat.


    🚖 By Road

    Rishikesh is the main starting point for the Valley of Flowers Trek. It is well connected by road to cities like Delhi (approx. 250 km).

    • Rishikesh → Joshimath: 8–9 hours drive

    • Joshimath → Govindghat: 1 hour drive

    From Govindghat, the trek begins towards Ghangaria, which is the base camp for both the valley and Hemkund Sahib.
