Itineary

Day 1 : Dehradun to Bhatwari (175 Km – 8/9 hours)

  • Start your journey from Dehradun, the capital city of Uttarakhand.
  • Drive to Bhatwari, which serves as the base for the Sahastra Tal trek.
  • Check in at a guesthouse or campsite in Bhatwari.
  • Rest and prepare for the upcoming trek.

Day 2: Bhatwari to Gairi(8 Km – 4/5 hours)

  • Begin your trek from Bhatwari to Gairi.
  • The trail will take you through dense forests and along the Bhagirathi River.
  • Gairi is a small village where you can set up camp for the night.
  • Overnight stay in Gairi.

Day 3 : Gairi to Kush Kalyan(10 Km – 6/7 hours)

  • Continue your trek from Gairi to Kush Kalyan.
  • The trail will take you through picturesque landscapes.
  • Reach Kush Kalyan and set up your camp.
  • Overnight stay in Kush Kalyan.

Day 4 : Kush Kalyan to Kyarki(12 Km – 6/7 hours)

  • Trek from Kush Kalyan to Kyarki, which is another picturesque meadow.
  • Enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings and set up camp in Kyarki.
  • Overnight stay in Kyarki.

Day 5 : Trek to Kyarki to Lamb Tal(6 Km – 3/4 hours)

  • Today, you'll trek from Kyarki to Lamb Tal, a high-altitude lake.
  • The trail might be challenging due to the elevation gain.
  • Camp near Lamb Tal and enjoy the serene atmosphere.
  • Overnight stay in camp.

Day 6 : Lamb Tal to Sahastra Tal and back(12 Km – 7/8 hours)

  • This is the highlight of the trek as you'll visit Sahastra Tal.
  • Explore the Sahastra Tal and the surrounding area.
  • Head back to Lamb Tal in the afternoon.
  • Overnight stay at Lamb Tal.

Day 7 : Trek to Kush Kalyan via Kyari Bugyal(18 Km – 7/8 Hours)

  • Leave Lamb Tal and trek towards Kush Kalyan.
  • Enjoy the lush green meadows of Kyari Bugyal on the way.
  • Reach Kush Kalyan and set up your camp.
  • Overnight stay in Kush Kalyan.

Day 8 : Sila village drive to Bhatwari(18 km)

  • Trek back to Sila village.
  • From Sila village, drive back to Bhatwari.
  • Rest and relax in Bhatwari.Overnight stay in Bhatwari.

Day 9 : Drive from Bhatwari to Dehradun(175 Km – 8/9 hours)

  • Start your journey back to Dehradun.
  • Reach Dehradun, concluding your Sahastra Tal trek.

Inclusions


Transport to and from the base camp
The above trek cost includes transport to and from base camp.
Safety equipment
First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders, stretchers, Walkie-Talkie etc. will be available at campsite.
Accommodation
Stay is included from Day 1 to Last Day. Tents/Homestays/lodges will be provided. Tripple sharing Accommodation and separate accommodation for girls/ladies will be provided
Meals
All meals from dinner on Day 1 to breakfast at Last day are included. Veg food will be provided during the trek.
Permits/ Forest fees
UTT will arrange trekking permits and forest passes.
Experienced Trek Leader & Team
Qualified trek leaders haing in basic / advanced mountaineering courses certificates/ degrees will assist trek.
Other staff member includes qualified cooks, helpers and porters.

Exclusions


Food during transit to and from the base camp
Food would not be provided during transit and trekkers have to bear the cost at their own.
Mule and Porter charges
Generally we expect trekkers to carry their bag-pack and luggage themselves. For those who wish to use Mule/Porter need to pay Rs 350 per day for same.
Personal Expense
Personal Expense of any kind. The trek cost does not include stay at any location on last day
