The Ruinsara Tal is a special glacial lake resting amidst beautiful mountain ranges of Swargarohini. The meadows around are neat and untouched. One can experience a sense of tranquility all around the lakeside.At a height of 3500 metres and about 14 kilometres from Osla/Seema, the lake Ruinsara Tal is situated at the base of Mount Kalanag.Ruinsara Tal is another attractive place for trekkers in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. The Har-Ki-Doon Valley’s residents revere the lake, which is flanked by low-lying Rhododendrons and Alpine Pastures.The lake is near the source of Supin river. From here, one can see Mount Kalanag, the Ruinsar range, BandarPoonch, and the magnificent Swargarohini peaks up close.The lake is near the source of Supin river. From here one gets closer views of Mt. Kalanag, Ruinsar range, BandarPoonch, and Swargarohini peaks which are superb. The lake is a great place to camp because it is close to the Bandarpoonch Glacier.

Itineary

Day 1: Dehradun - Sankri (185 Kms)

  • Enjoy the pleasant 7-hour trip to Uttarkashi along the narrow Ganga and Bhagirathi valley.
  • It goes through Mussoorie. The vistas today on the winding road from Dehradun to Sankri are breathtaking.
  • Breakfast & Lunch will be on the way.
  • By late afternoon or early evening, we will arrive in the lovely village of Sankri.
  • Stay in Tents/guest house.

Day 2: Sankri- Taluka (12 Kms ), Taluka- Seema (12 kms trek)

  • Wake up with the mesmerizing view of mountains.
  • Taluka is the starting point of our trek.
  • We will begin our trip with a packed lunch to Seema (2260m) on a level terrain.
  • Passing through dense stands of chestnut, walnut, willow, chinar, and various conifer trees, as well as a few waterfalls.
  • You might either choose to hike along the Karmanasha creek or choose the strenuous climb up to Dhaatmeer settlement. Both the routes meet at Gangaar village.
  • Reach Seema Camps by late afternoon.
  • Dinner will be served to you at the campsite only.
  • Spend the night in your tent.

Day 3: Seema-Intermediate camp (10 kms trek)

  • Wake up in the lapse of mountains and relish the morning breakfast.
  • The path winds through a dense forest and features numerous stunning waterfalls, some improvised bridges, and the alluring Debsu Thach Meadow.
  • Intermediate camps after 6-7 Hours of trekking.
  • Overnight will be spent in tents.

Day 4 : Seema-Intermediate camp (10 kms trek)

  • Wake up in the Morning followed by breakfast.
  • Today we will reach Ruinsara Tal by afternoon.
  • Yamuna Kanta, the pass that leads to Yamunotri, is located south-west of Ruinsara and is regarded as a challenging walk.
  • To the east is the majestic Bander­poonch Peak (6,387m).
  • You may reach Kiarkoti, which has a view of the approximately 6,000-meter.
  • Swargarohini Range to the north, by walking about southeast from the lake.
  • The views of Kala Nag (6,387m), White Peak (6,102m), and Dhumdhar Kandi (5,873m) to the east, south, and west, respectively, are breathtaking.Dinner will be at the Campsite.
  • Overnight stay in camps.

Day 5 : Ruinsara Tal - Seema (18 Kms trek)

  • Wake under the mesmerizing scenic beauty around.
  • After Breakfast we will start return trek to Seema with Packed lunch.
  • Reach seema camps by late afternoon.
  • Overnight stay in Camp.

Day 6 : Seema- Taluka (12 kms trek), Taluka- Delhradun (197 kms by road)

  • We will start our trekto Taluka after breakfast.
  • Reach taluka by afternoon.
  • At this moment, your amazing journey comes to an end, leaving you with some precious memories.
  • End of Trip Thank you.

Transport to and from the base camp
The above trek cost includes transport to and from base camp.
Safety equipment
First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders, stretchers, Walkie-Talkie etc. will be available at campsite.
Accommodation
Stay is included from Day 1 to Last Day. Tents/Homestays/lodges will be provided. Tripple sharing Accommodation and separate accommodation for girls/ladies will be provided
Meals
All meals from dinner on Day 1 to breakfast at Last day are included. Veg food will be provided during the trek.
Permits/ Forest fees
UTT will arrange trekking permits and forest passes.
Experienced Trek Leader & Team
Qualified trek leaders haing in basic / advanced mountaineering courses certificates/ degrees will assist trek.
Other staff member includes qualified cooks, helpers and porters.

Exclusions


Food during transit to and from the base camp
Food would not be provided during transit and trekkers have to bear the cost at their own.
Mule and Porter charges
Generally we expect trekkers to carry their bag-pack and luggage themselves. For those who wish to use Mule/Porter need to pay Rs 350 per day for same.
Personal Expense
Personal Expense of any kind. The trek cost does not include stay at any location on last day
