Kush kalyan Bugyal Trek is a high altitude meadow located in the Uttarakashi district of Uttarakhand, India. It is situated at an altitude of around 3,500 meters above sea level and is a popular trekking destination among adventure enthusiasts.The word “Bugyal” in local language means meadow, and Kush kalyan Bugyal is known for its scenic beauty and stunning views of the surrounding snow-capped mountains. The meadow is also known for its rich biodiversity, with a variety of flora and fauna found in the region.The trek to Kushkalyan Bugyal starts from a small village, which is accessible from Uttarakashi town. The trek is of moderate difficulty and takes around 4-5 days to complete. During the trek, one passes through dense forests, streams, and high altitude meadows, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayas.

Itineary

Day 1 : Dehradun to Uttarkashi (154 km, 5/6 hours)

Start your journey from Dehradun early in the morning.
Drive to Uttarkashi, which is approximately 150 kilometers from Dehradun.
Check in at your accommodation in Uttarkashi.
Rest and prepare for the trek.

Day 2: Uttarkashi to Malla - Trek to Sheela Gano Gaira Camp(26 km, 1.5 hours)

After breakfast, drive from Uttarkashi to Malla.
Start your trek from Malla to Sheela Gano Gaira Camp.
This trek might take several hours, and you'll be camping at Sheela Gano Gaira for the night.
Enjoy the beautiful scenery and set up your camp.

Day 3 : Sheela Gano Gaira Camp to Kush Kalyani Bugyal (8km, 3-4Hours)

Continue your trek from Sheela Gano Gaira Camp to Kush Kalyani Bugyal.
This will be a challenging day of trekking, but the stunning views will make it worthwhile.
Set up your camp at Kush Kalyani Bugyal for the night.

Day 4 : Kush Kalyani to Bhalak(7km, 3-4Hours)

After breakfast, start your trek from Kush Kalyani Bugyal to Bhalak.
This is another day of trekking through the picturesque landscapes of the region.
You will reach Bhalak and set up your camp for the night.

Day 5 : Bhalak to Lata Village and Drive to Dehradun

After breakfast, trek from Bhalak to Lata Village.
Once you reach Lata Village, you can take a vehicle to drive back to Dehradun.
This will conclude your Kush Kalyan Trek.

Day 1:- Dehradun to Uttarkashi (154 km, 5/6 hours)

Inclusions

Transport to and from the base camp

The above trek cost includes transport to and from base camp.

Safety equipment

First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders, stretchers, Walkie-Talkie etc. will be available at campsite.

Accommodation

Stay is included from Day 1 to Last Day. Tents/Homestays/lodges will be provided. Tripple sharing Accommodation and separate accommodation for girls/ladies will be provided

Meals

All meals from dinner on Day 1 to breakfast at Last day are included. Veg food will be provided during the trek.

Permits/ Forest fees

UTT will arrange trekking permits and forest passes.

Experienced Trek Leader & Team

Qualified trek leaders haing in basic / advanced mountaineering courses certificates/ degrees will assist trek.
Other staff member includes qualified cooks, helpers and porters.

Exclusions

Food during transit to and from the base camp

Food would not be provided during transit and trekkers have to bear the cost at their own.

Mule and Porter charges

Generally we expect trekkers to carry their bag-pack and luggage themselves. For those who wish to use Mule/Porter need to pay Rs 350 per day for same.

Personal Expense

Personal Expense of any kind. The trek cost does not include stay at any location on last day
