Itineary

Day 1 : Rishikesh to Uttarkashi Drive

  • 6/7 hours drive of 1,150 km
  • Morning after breakfast proceed for Uttarkashi (1165 mts),The journey takes approximately 6-7 hours.
  • The main town in the area is Uttarkashi. Here is where the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering is located.
  • It serves as the starting point for mountaineering trekking and climbing expeditions in the Gangotri region.
  • Spend the night in a hotel or guesthouse in Uttarkashi, a small town located at an altitude of 1150 meters.

Day 2: EXPLORE Uttarkashi - Malla - Sillachhan

  • Drive 25 kilometres to Malla after breakfast, then walk 9 kilometres with a packed lunch to Sillachhan.
  • Uttarkashi is located at an elevation of 1,165 meters above sea level and is known for its numerous temples and ashrams.
  • Malla is a small village located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, situated at an altitude of 2,000 meters above sea level.
  • The village is famous for its apple orchards and is surrounded by beautiful Himalayan peaks.
  • Sillachhan is another small village in the Uttarkashi district, located at an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea level.
  • It is known for its scenic beauty and is a popular destination for trekking and hiking enthusiasts.
  • The village is surrounded by lush green forests and offers stunning views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks.
  • Dinner and overnight stay in tents.

Day 3 : Gangi to Bhebra

  • Trek 30km, 4-5 hours
  • Begin the trek from Gangi and walk through dense forests of pine, deodar, and oak.
  • Reach the small village of Bhebra and camp there for the night.

Day 4: Bhebra to Kalyani

  • The trail gradually ascends through beautiful meadows and forests.
  • Reach the campsite at Kalyani, which is located at an altitude of 10,000 feet.
  • Dinner and overnight stay in tents.

Day 5 : Kalyani to Kharsoli

  • The trail continues through meadows and dense forests of rhododendron and oak.
  • Reach the campsite at Kharsoli, which is located at an altitude of 12,000 feet.
  • The trail involves a steep ascent and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
  • Overnight stay in Kharsoli.

Day 6 : Kharsoli to Parital

  • Trek through high altitude meadows and enjoy stunning views of snow-capped peaks.
  • Reach the beautiful campsite at Parital.
  • Which is located at an altitude of 12,500 feet.
  • Dinner and overnight stay in tents.

Day 7 : Parital to Khatling Glacier

  • Trek from Parital to Khatling (18 Km 7 Hrs)).
  • Trek to the Khatling Glacier, which is one of the largest glaciers in the region.
  • Spend some time exploring the glacier before returning to the campsite at Parital.
  • Overnight stay in Khatling .

Day 8 : Back to Parital - Kharsoli to Bhebra

  • Trek back to Kharsoli and back to Bhebra trek.
  • Spend the night at the same campsite Bhebra.

Day 9 : Kharsoli to Gangi

  • Trek back to Bhebra & back to Gangi .
  • overnight stay in tents.

Day 9 : Gangi to Uttarkashi

  • 4 hr 55 min (136.9 km)
  • Drive back to Uttarkashi and spend the night at a hotel.

Day 10 : Back Uttarkashi to Rishikesh Drive

  • Say Goodbye this beautiful , that you will always remember.
  • Drive back to Rishikesh & Dehradun a journey of about 10 hours.

Transport to and from the base camp
The above trek cost includes transport to and from base camp.
Safety equipment
First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders, stretchers, Walkie-Talkie etc. will be available at campsite.
Accommodation
Stay is included from Day 1 to Last Day. Tents/Homestays/lodges will be provided. Tripple sharing Accommodation and separate accommodation for girls/ladies will be provided
Meals
All meals from dinner on Day 1 to breakfast at Last day are included. Veg food will be provided during the trek.
Permits/ Forest fees
UTT will arrange trekking permits and forest passes.
Experienced Trek Leader & Team
Qualified trek leaders haing in basic / advanced mountaineering courses certificates/ degrees will assist trek.
Other staff member includes qualified cooks, helpers and porters.

Exclusions


Food during transit to and from the base camp
Food would not be provided during transit and trekkers have to bear the cost at their own.
Mule and Porter charges
Generally we expect trekkers to carry their bag-pack and luggage themselves. For those who wish to use Mule/Porter need to pay Rs 350 per day for same.
Personal Expense
Personal Expense of any kind. The trek cost does not include stay at any location on last day
