Overview

The Adi Kailash Yatra is a sacred pilgrimage and trekking adventure in Uttarakhand’s Kumaon region, India. Known as "Chhota Kailash," it serves as a divine alternative to the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra in Tibet. This spiritual journey winds through the stunning Himalayas, remote villages, and holy sites like Parvati Sarovar and the Shiva-Parvati Temple. A key highlight is Om Parvat, where a natural snow formation creates the sacred "Om" symbol, enhancing the region’s mystical charm.

Spanning 150-200 km, the yatra begins in Dharchula and passes through Gunji, Navidhang, and Jolingkong before reaching Adi Kailash. Trekkers traverse diverse landscapes—lush forests, river valleys, and high-altitude meadows—while soaking in breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks. The best time to embark on this journey is May to October, when the weather is stable and ideal for travel. Whether you’re a pilgrim seeking spiritual awakening or an adventure enthusiast craving an offbeat Himalayan trek, the Adi Kailash Yatra promises a transformative experience.
