The locals, recognizing Dhari’s divine powers, requested her to protect them from the impending disaster. Dhari Devi, in her compassion, transformed herself into a large boulder to shield the villagers from the raging waters.

Dhari Devi is considered the guardian deity of the Char Dham Yatra (pilgrimage circuit) in Uttarakhand, comprising Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath temples. Her blessings are sought for protection and safe passage during the pilgrimage.

Dhari Devi  is well-connected by road. You can reach Srinagar or Rudraprayag by bus or taxi, and then hire local transportation to reach the temple. The temple is located on the way to Badrinath, and the road is scenic.

The nearest railway station is Rishikesh Railway Station. From Rishikesh, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Srinagar, and then proceed to Temple.
