Dodital Lake

Dodital Lake is a serene freshwater lake situated in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, nestled amidst the Garhwal Himalayas at an altitude of around 3,024 meters (9,921 feet) above sea level. It’s believed to be the birthplace of Lord Ganesha according to Hindu mythology.The lake is renowned for its tranquil beauty, surrounded by dense forests of oak, deodar, and rhododendron trees, making it a popular trekking destination.

How To Reach  Dodital

From Delhi: Uttarkashi is around 400 km from Delhi. You can drive or take a bus from Delhi to Uttarkashi. The drive takes around 10-12 hours depending on road conditions and traffic.

 From Uttarkashi to Dodital: From Uttarkashi, you’ll need to travel to Sangam Chatti, which is about 15 km away. From there, it’s a trek of about 21 km to Dodi tal. The trek is moderate in difficulty and usually takes around 6-7 hours, depending on your pace.
