Paonta Sahib

Paonta Sahib is a historical Sikh pilgrimage town in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is situated on the banks of the river Yamuna. The town is known for its significance in Sikh history as it was founded by the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, in 1685. Guru Gobind Singh Ji spent several years in Paonta Sahib and composed many important Sikh texts here.
