Valley of Flowers

Valley of Flowers National Park is a high-altitude valley in the Chamoli district, famous for its meadows of endemic alpine flowers that bloom from June to September. The park is part of the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The trek starts from Govindghat; the valley is reached via Ghangaria. Many trekkers combine the visit with Hemkund Sahib, the sacred Sikh shrine nearby. Permits and timing are regulated to protect the ecosystem — plan your visit with a registered operator.
